I just bought a heat pump dryer, but I refused the optional warranty for 8£/month. I used to fix my appliances, and this video confirmed that I could still do it if need be.
Thank you for this brilliant video. Very detailed & makes it easy to see how to fix some of the simple issues that can cause this heat pump dryer to stop working. This dryer is a dream to use & to be able to fix problems ourselves, especially if it is only fluff blocking the drainage, is truly an answer to prayer!
Thank you for this great explanation about this LG. It really helped me fixing a RC7055 dryer. Especially the explanation about the valves, the pump and the condensing unit helped a lot! It was quite an operation but it was worth it!
Thanks mate, that’s a great video. I’m a Plumber/Heating Engineer & nursed along my White Knight gas tumble dryer, but in the end it had terminal problems. Spares for them are not readily available etc. It was so economical to run & now I’ve bought a HP tumble drier I’m worried about the running cost. ‘Erindoors has a Washing on most days & the TD was always on!!
Great video walk-through. Are there any issues with mold & mildew, especially in the heat exchanger or below in the reservoir? If so, can a ‘disinfectant’ be applied on an empty cycle to clean the closed airflow path? Thanks!
This video has been eye-opening. Been looking at these heat-pump tumble dryers for a while. I knew that they used less energy and lower temperatures than vented and condensing types, but had no idea the temps inside were so low.
Thanks, that's an excellent video. I've not bought one yet as I wondered if they "leaked" moisture into the surrounding air but suppose they're better these days. Is there a particular brand that you fix more (or less) often or is it always a case of fluff? Thanks
Many thanks for a lovely and detailed video.
Thanks for the tips, i just picked up an lg 8kg eco dryer (RC8055AH2Z) for £30 as it wasn't apparently drying at all. It was being used in a garage of a house which the owner had recently moved into and i think it's because ambient temperature would be so low. Also it needs stripping and cleaning out anyway.
Unreal mate thanks for this. A few simple Tips with a simple theory of operation and things become a lot more clearer when trying to do diagnostics
Fantastic video, I am a refrigeration technician and was interested to see insudeva heat pump dryer. Is there not a filter to stop the evaporator coil getting blocked with fluff and how easy is it to strip to access the coils etc to clean? in your opinion are standard condenser dryers far more reliable/simple and what brands would you recommend for a low to mid range budget? are bosch worth paying the extra for ?
Very good/clear tutorial. One of the best. Keep it up !
Wow great video... I used to install aircon units under supervision of a guy who held the certificates. I'm getting more interested in air sourse heat pumps now. and just purchased one to play with.... all relevant information for me. Cheers regards Keith
What a helpful video, much appreciated. Do you have any recommendations on brands that are easier to maintain and clean than others - or maybe brands that have a filter system that's effective? I have a whirlpool that's an absolute pain to clean, as you have to disassembly almost everything, and I'm not that handy to begin with. And the filter system is really bad. So I'm looking to buy something that I can maintain and make last.
Excellent video - some great tips on how to test and service heat pump dryers
My Grundig heat pump dryer has stopped heating up. I learned more from this 15 minute video than the last 6-8 hours of research and talking to "experts", who all told me to press the reset switch on my heater.
Thank you indeed for your explanation on heat pump dryers. You explained perfectly, I thought my knew heat pump dryer wasn't working properly, but now I know it is.
Hey mate great video. I've got a beko dhx83420w heat pump tumble dryer and it doesn't seem to be getting that 10°C rise in 11min is it likely that the system doesn't have enough gas? Is there a thermostat that might be causing that issue? The cooling fan doesn't seem to turn on so I was wondering if it's not getting hot enough from lack of gas or the thermostat wasn't letting the system work properly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Hi Jason. Great video. I am looking to replace my AEG condenser drier which is located in the garage. Can will a condenser dryer work in the colder temps? Or should I just buy a condenser dryer again?
Hi Jason, Love your channel. I have an LG dryer similar to this video. I have replaced the main board and motor. I have no power from the dryer. Any suggestions? Cheers
